Steven Barker who abused Baby P denied parole

Sick and Twisted Steven Barker who abused Baby P and raped girl aged two has been refused parole, he was hopeful he would be free to walk the streets again.

He was jailed for the horrific abuse against Baby P who sadly died due to the extent of his abuse and injuries.

Steve Barker was handed a life sentenced with a minimum of 10 years for raping a two-year-old girl.

He was only served a 12-year sentence after playing a major role in the death of Baby Peter​ Connelly.

Baby P died in North London in 2008 and had more than 50 injuries, 17-month-old Peter died at the hands of his mother Tracey Connelly, her lover Barker and their lodger, Jason Owen.

A spokesman for the Parole Board said: “We can confirm that a panel of the Parole Board has not directed the release of Steven Barker at a paper hearing.

“Under current legislation, ​Mr Barker will be eligible for a further review within two years. The date of the next review will be set by the Ministry of Justice.

“The Parole Board is unable to comment on the specifics of individual cases.”
