Several people have died and four people have been taken to hospital following a three vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway of the M1, between junctions 15 and 14 near Newport Pagnell, shortly before 3.15am this morning.

The collision involved two lorries and a minibus, which were all travelling in the same direction.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are in custody.

Road closures are in place and people are asked to use alternative routes.
