A hung parliament is now being predicted with no majority government, This has only happened twice since 1929.

But what does a hung Parliament actually mean?

Here in the United Kingdom if a party is able to reach 326 seats out of 650 they will win a majority government. But the Exit Poll is suggesting that the General Election 2017 result will be a minority government.

So how do they move forward?

Which means we are in a hung parliament, The party with the most seats then has the opportunity to form a coalition government. or they can form a minority government,

Should they decide to form a minority government they need the support of the other parties in order to pass any legislature.

What happens if they fail to form a coalition or minority government?

If there is no coalition or minority government formed then a fresh election will have to be called.

In 2016 exit polls for Trump and Brexit were wrong but they have never been wrong in the history of the general elections.

Police Hour readers have been voting on Twitter on who they believe will be the next Prime Minster.

Only time will tell on what the future of British Government holds.
