Police have responded to reports of a Machete Attempted Attack outside of a Justin Bieber Concert in Cardiff.
The man was quickly detained by police and security staff outside of the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. It is believed no one was hurt in the incident, which happened close to the Stadium.
The police have been praised for their fast response being on scene within 20 seconds of what is being called an ‘Attempted Attack”.
The incident was between two drivers following a road-related incident, one man got out of his car and brandished a Machete and attempted to attack him, this was not terror related. It happened on the roads outside of the Stadium.
During the incident the man can be seen struggling with police officers before the Machete is taken off him by unarmed police officers, the suspect is then placed into the back of a police van.
Security staff from inside the stadium assisted officers to restrain the suspect, one security guard can be seen with the Machete before handing it over to a police officer.
UniLad shared a video and reported that Thousands of young children and teenagers were in the area having their faces painted and lining up ready to see Justin Bieber tonight.
South Wales Police said the incident was a dispute between two drivers on Saunders Road.
They said they were alerted to the incident at 3.05pm and that two men, aged 19 and 27, had been arrested nearby.
“The latter has been arrested on suspicion of affray and the former has been arrested on suspicion of using threatening behaviour,” it said.
Both are currently in custody at Cardiff Bay Police Station. There are no reports of any injuries.
