Person dies after being struck by train on London Underground

A person has died after being struck by a train at Rayners Lane station in Harrow at around 9.30am today.

Raynes Lane underground station was closed whilst police dealt with the incident.

The lines were shut at around 9.32am with London Underground services on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly Lines severely affected.

Rayners Lane station has now reopened however there are severe delays between Uxbridge and Harrow-on-the-Hill on the Metropolitan lines.
