Live: Fire on Tuxedo Royal smoke seen for miles

Smoke can bee seen for miles from the controversial Tuxedo Royal, which is docked in Middlesbrough.

Fire crews are tackling the blaze on the ship which is docked at the River Tees. The ship was used as a nightclub for many years.

Three fire engines can be seen with lights and sirens close to the boat, which has been docked and listing on Able UK’s Middlesbrough port since 2009.

The ship has been docked at the Able UK Middlesbrough port since 2009, it was recently confirmed that the ship would be moved as part of the ongoing redevelopment and regeneration of Middlehaven.

This ship has laid half sunk and rotting for a number of years within the River Tees.
