Sick David Williams downloaded 23K incident images and films of children being abused.

One video was 3 hours long and showed significant harm being carried out to young children within the footage.

He blames having no friends and smoking cannabis for his sick crimes.

The images and videos are the most serious category A images and videos.

Police discovered a number of still and moving images when they raided his home, he was bailed pending further inquiries.

During his time on police, bail police re-arrested him and found a collection of more than 23K images and films.

Williams of Laird Road, Hartlepool admitted two charges of distributing indecent images of the child, six charges of making indecent images, and six charges of possessing indecent images, all between August 2015 and July last year.

Williams attempted to get off the offences by saying he was suspended from work over the matter and leads an isolated lifestyle.

He blamed his mental ability due to smoking excessive cannabis

He was jailed for 15 months, He must now register as a sex offender for 10 years.
