Gareth Dack murdered Norma Bell, While she lay dying or already dead he used her phone to call sex lines and then set fire to her house in an attempt to cause an explosion.

Police launched a major murder investigation when reports were received of a fire at a property in Westbourne Road

Today he has been sentenced for the murder of Norma Bell aged 79, She was described as a much-loved woman who had fostered more than 50 children in Hartlepool.

 

During a Police Hour Live Stream just outside of Norma’s House, there is a silver car, that car belonged to Gareth Dack and officers found £400.00 within that car.

 

Dack a penniless father of four used what has been described as a ligature to kill Norma Bell.

Dack was convicted of murder and arson at Teesside Crown Court following a three-week trial.

After he attempted to cause a gas explosion in an attempt to destroy all of the evidence.

Cleveland Police have released a number of upsetting images of the extent of the fire Dack caused to destroy evidence of the murder.

Judge Mrs Justice Whipple said “You killed Norma Bell in cold blood in her own home when she was defenceless.

“She had done nothing to deserve your violence, then you set fire to her home in a failed attempt to cover your tracks.”
