Katie Rough aged just seven was had her throat slit and was stabbed to death by a school girl aged 15 in York.
In the early hours on January 11th she was charged with the Murder Katie Rough.

Her mum fought in vain to save her life but the injuries were too serious, She died on her way to the hospital.
Katie has been described as a shy but sweet girl. Katie’s mum fought to save her life as she laid dying on the ground. She broke down in tears and fought in vain to save her life.
Alison Rough aged 38 was alerted to the incident within the rural location and rushed just under a mile from her semi-detached house in Woodthorpe.
When she arrived she discovered her young daughter lying there in a playing field after the attack. Detectives are investigating the circumstances of Katie’s death and have now charged a teenager aged 15 with murder.
The 15 year old girl is due to appear at York Magistrates Court at 10am on Wednesday 11 January 2017.
North Yorkshire police are continuing their appeal for anyone who may have witnessed who were in the area of Morrell Court, Belhouse Way, Osprey Close and Alness Drive between 3 pm and 5 pm on Monday 9 January 2017, and may have seen two girls, one aged 15-years-old and the other 7-years-old, to get in touch.
