Emergency services have been evacuating a number of homes in east all don following an explosion at a block of flats. 

Police, fire and ambulance crews have raced to the scene of the blast at a ground floor property in Ardleigh Green Road, Hornchurch shortly after 5pm on Monday.

It is currently not known how many people have been injured.
