The best story you’ll read online today is that Alexander Goodwin has undergone successful surgery.

Alexander Goodwin has undergone successful surgery and will begin learning to walk again in the next few days.

Doctors have now removed Alex’s entire femur and all the muscles and tendons around it.

Now Alex will spend the next few days learning to walk again. 9-year-old arrived Kansas City to a hero’s welcome from the local Police Chief.

Alex has made the most of his time in Kansas however the serious side of things was that Alex was there to have Surgery which happened on Wednesday.

The Family travelled from the UK because of the talent and skills of the doctors within the University of Kansas Hospital.

Alex’s surgery lasted for three-and-a-half hours and aimed to remove cancer and the install shafts for the bone and muscles.

It has now been relieved the surgery was a success & doctors will be getting Alex on his feet within the next couple of days to start the Physical therapy.

Alex still has a lot of challenges ahead and they have him in the right place. Alex will require therapy until may and have to undergo more surgery to lengthen his leg.
