Police are appealing for help in tracing a missing 82-year-old man missing from Gateshead.

Jeffrey Bowdon is staying at the Royal Hotel, Colliery Road in Dunston has not been seen since 5pm on Friday, December 16, when he had tea. He is from Oxfordshire and is a visitor to the area

He is described a white man, 5 ft tall, with grey hair. He walks with a stick. He usually wears a hat and coat and possibly tracksuit bottoms

Police are concerned for his welfare and are carrying out enquiries to locate Mr Bowdon

Officers are appealing for Jeffrey to make contact with them, or anyone who recognises him to call police straightaway.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101, quoting reference number 938 17/12/16.
