Control Room emergency call handlers have created a touching video to highlight the work that they will be doing this Christmas.

Northamptonshire Police has produced the video of a poem written by the head of crime Superintendent Elliot Foskett.

Written to remind the public that the emergency service works are giving up their Christmas to keep you safe.

Over Christmas the emergency services across the land will be responding to domestic violence, fights, disorder, heartbreaking incidents and of course those who waste police time and simply want to abuse the emergency service call handlers.
