Arrests after fight involving over 100 people during the incident coins thrown at cops

Police have arrested four people following a violent incident overnight.

In the early hours of Christmas Day officers were involved in a one hour incidents following reports of fighting which involved upto 100 people.

Coins were thrown at officers and a number of taxi drivers were reportedly intimidated during the incident which happened in Woking, Surrey Police said.

The suspects were arrested on suspicion of public order offences after police and unit dogs were sent to the scene in Chertsey Road following a call at around 3am.

Officers quickly gained control of the situation using public order teams and police dogs.

They were supporting by the NPAS helicopter with everything returning to normal at 4am.
