Peter John Reynolds aged 43 has been sentenced after he attempted to meet a 14-year-old child for sex after sending explicit messages. He admitted the offence.

It is believed Reynolds wanted sex with what he believed was a school girl sending her multiple explicit images if his private parts as he attempted to groom her online.

Reynolds eventually arranged to meet her what he did not know was that he had been speaking to Dark Justice, He admitted he wanted to have sex with her instead he was talking to Dark Justice a pro-active two man group that aims to prevent child sexual grooming.

Reynolds had arranged two meetings with the school girl however he failed to turn up, However Dark Justice had all the evidence they needed to prove the offence and handed their file over to detectives at Durham Constabulary because at the time Reynolds claimed he lived within the County Durham area, but it soon became apparent he lived within the North Yorkshire area and was arrested by North Yorkshire police and quizzed by Detectives.

He was sentenced to nine months imprisonment, suspended for twenty-four months, with sex offenders registration for ten years.

Reynolds, of North Yorkshire, now has to abide by a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for seven years which places various restrictions on his access to the internet & children.
