Glencorse Barracks Squaddie charged with murder and remanded in custody

Police investigating the death of 24-year-old Alice Ruggles at an address in Gateshead have today (Friday) charged a 25-year-old man.

Trimaan Dhillon, also known as Harry Dhillon, of Glencorse Barracks in Penicuik, Midlothian, Scotland, has been charged with murder.

The Glencorse Barracks houses  The Royal Highland Fusiliers and the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Lance Corporal Trimaan Dhillon, of the Royal Regiment of Scotland has been remanded in custody to appear before Newcastle Crown Court tomorrow morning (Saturday).

Police enquiries into the incident will continue and specialist officers will continue to support Alice’s family at this difficult time.
