Police are urgently searching for missing Vida Gibson she is aged 78.

She is missing from Milfield Avenue in Wallsend was last at around 4:45pm at the Linskill Centre, Linskill Terrace, North Shields on Thursday evening. 

Vida suffers from dementia and may appear confused and unsteady on her feet.

She is around 6ft tall, has short white curly hair and was last seen wearing faun coloured trousers, a white top and brown shoes.

Local officers are currently searching areas within Wallsend and are looking for any members of the public who may have sighted Vida or may know where she is to contact Northumbria Police.

Anyone who has seen her is asked to contact police on 101.
