Police in Hackney are urgently appealing for assistance to help find a missing 10-year-old boy.

Celso Alexandre Teixeira Alvim was last seen at around 11:00hrs on Sunday, 11 September at his address in Finsbury Park.

Celso is Portuguese and speaks very little English. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black t-shirt with a Ninja Turtles motif and dark trousers.

Celso and his family moved to the area very recently and he has no known friends or family nearby. It is not thought he has any money, phone or means of getting around on the transport system. He has not been reported missing to police before.

Anyone who has seen Celso Alvim or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Hackney Missing Persons Unit via 101. Alternatively, call the charity Missing People on 116000.
