The wait is over, The Police Twitter Awards finalists have now been announced. And you can now find out who will be heading to the awards night.

The Police Twitter Awards aims to recognise the hard work of tweeting police officers and non-policing police related accounts.

The idea of Police Twitter Awards was created by Mike Kenworthy a great supporter of policing accounts.

Mike Kenworthy is an advocate of policing twitter accounts and always helps out where he can with the growth and support of policing social media.

Supported by Mike Pannett, Superintendent Dennis Murray and Cheif Inspector Kerry Blakeman Twitter awards was back bigger and better than any year before.

The overall winner will be flying to Long Beach Californa to attend the law enforcement Smile Conference, Thanks to Kind sponsors Rawcut TV and Police Oracle who are the official sponsors for the awards.

The Police Twitter Award 2016 Finalists were announced live by Cheif Inspector Kerry Blakeman on Tuesday 27th September.

and somehow we made the list. To be honest we are over the moon.

We’ve also found ourselves alongside two great non-policing Best Informative Police Account. So we’ll be in great company on the night.
