Police have launched an investigation after five men attempted to abduct an 11-year-old boy from a street. 

The boy has told police two men followed him on foot while three men in a black van.

Two of those in the black van are believed to have been wearing ski masks. 

He said he escaped after one of the men tried to pull him into the vehicle as he walked along Fulbeck Road, Scunthorpe, at 07:45 BST.

Officers believe the men involved in the Scunthorpe incident are thought not to be English.
The two men on foot were described as wearing grey tracksuits, while the driver of the Ford Transit was wearing a black puffer jacket.

Two men in the back of the van wore ski masks.

Schools and colleges in the area have been visited by police and parents have been informed.
