Police have arrested a man in north west London on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts.

The met police confirmed they have arrested a 32-year-old man.

Scotland Yard confirmed that the arrest is linked to Syria.

He is currently detained on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts contrary to section 5 of the terrorism act 2016.

He is currently being held at a central London police station.
