Appeal for Witnesses after Inappropriate Comments Made to Three 12-Year-Old Boys in Redcar

Police are appealing for information after an unknown man approached three 12-year-old boys and made inappropriate comments to them in Redcar.

The incident occurred at around 6pm on Monday 11th July near to the play park (old paddling pool) on the Coast Road.

The suspect is described as around 42-years-old with a bald head, false teeth and a protruding stomach. He was riding a red mountain bike, smoking a rolled cigarette and smelt of alcohol. He was bare chested and wore a red or orange jacket tied around his waist, black Adidas jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect or any information regarding the incident is asked to contact Detective Constable Kevin Carter on 101 or via the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
