Medication taken from the back of an ambulance at Sunderland Royal Hospital

Police are warning people of the dangers of taking medication that is not prescribed to them after drugs were reported missing from an ambulance parked outside A&E at Sunderland Royal Hospital.. 
The drugs were reported missing from a bag in the vehicle just after 3:30am on Sunday, May 22. 

Officers are carrying out enquiries to try and trace the medication. They are also warning of the dangers the medication could pose. The pack contains a quantity of anti-diabetic medications which could be harmful if taken by anyone who has not been prescribed them.   

Anyone who finds the medication should hand it in to police straight away. 

Anyone with information or knows of its whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 242 22/05/16 or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
