A spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police said: “It has been a great day for everyone at Luton Carnival today and while we appreciate that people are in high spirits, we would remind them that we will not tolerate unlawful and violent behaviour.
“We do not want the behaviour of a tiny minority to ruin the evening for the rest of the law-abiding public. We would like to reassure the public that we are working to bring the disorder to an end, and where necessary we will be arresting anyone who has been found to be committing an offence.”
