Beware there is a website conning holiday makers out of money. They are offering to supply you with a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for a fee.

The EHIC card allows UK citizen to free or reduced medical treatment while they are travelling in a European Economic Area (EEA).

EHIC cards are free and you should never have to pay for one. Third parties are now offering to accept a charge for a service which is free from the National Health Service.

The scam is tricking a lot of UK citizens as it is appearing top of search engine results.

The website looks exactly the same as the government website. to obtain a EHIC you should goto gov.uk and search there or call 0300 3301350.

If you are requested to make a payment you are not ordering from the correct site. this service will always be free.
