Children injured in dog attack

Up to 11 children are believed to have been injured after being attacked by a dog in a park in the Blyth area on Wednesday evening.

Police have confirmed that a number of children were taken to hospital with bite wounds after being attacked by the Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the Burns Avenue area.

The dog is being held in local kennels while Police find it’s owner.
