Gareth Dack Appears In Court Charged With Norma Bell Murder 

Gareth Dack has appeared in court charged with the murder of Norma Bell.

Dack aged 32 used to live just doors away from Norma Bell before moving to Windermere Road, Hartlepool.

Detectives arrested him on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of the 79-year-old who was found after a fire in her home in Westbourne Road.

Norma Bell was murdered murder sometime between late evening on Saturday 2nd April and the morning of Sunday 3rd April at her home in Westbourne Road in Hartlepool.

Following the murder her house was set on fire. Police revealed hundreds of pounds in cash was taken from the house.

Police recently launched an appeal to find a missing TV which has now been recovered.

A detailed forensic investigation is still underway at the property and a police guard remains outside the house nearly one week after the murder.

What do we know about Gareth Dack?

Gareth Dack has had previously lived within doors from Norma Bell before he moved away.

He had previously taken part in stalking campaign that lasted over a year and a half.

He is known to have followed his love rival and stopped at traffic lights got out and attempted to open the door of the man who was seeing his then ex-girl friend.

A member of the public had to step in to stop violence from happening as the love rival refused to come out of the car.

Dack only stopped the stalking when he got back with his lover.
