The Durham Constabulary Chief Constable Mike Barton has penned a letter to a five year old girl.

The Chief Constable took some time out of his busy schedule to spend the time and write a hand written letter of response back to little five year old Eliza who recommended the police start using ‘Cats’.

Despite all letters by the police being typed these days the Chief Constable adds to the magic for Eliza by replying in handwriting.

He welcomes the suggestion that the police should be using cats along side dogs, confirming he has always liked cats.

Some great community work happening right from top brass level. Great work Durham Constabulary.
