Police don’t know identity of Body found on Hartlepool Headland 

Cleveland Police have confirmed they have recovered the body of a man on Hartlepool Headland.

Cleveland Police confirmed they were called to Heugh Breakwater on the Hartlepool Headland. 

The body was found this morning at about 11.20am.

Forensic experts have remained at the scene all day. 

Cleveland Police said: “Police were called to Heugh Breakwater at the Headland in Hartlepool at 11.20am today where the body of a man was recovered.

“A special post-mortem is due to be carried out this afternoon and police are actively seeking the identity of the man.”
