National Wildlife Unit to shut down in weeks thanks to David Cameron

David Cameron’s government is forcing the closure of the National Wildlife Unit.

They have just six weeks left until the funding runs out.

The national wildlife crime unit (NWCU) which was setup in 2006 look at offences such as fox hunting, rare bird egg thefts, deer poaching.

They also investigate cruelty to wild animinals but now the money is running out thanks to Tory cuts.

The closure of the unit will mean most wildlife crime will go uninvestigated and undected.
