Police Hour understands Six bars in York City have closed early tonight as it is feared there is going to be planned trouble.

We have learnt that the Mansion nightclub, Yates beside Ouse Bridge, the Slug and Lettuce ,  Society Bar and Lounge in Rougier Street, Missoula Montana, and the Micklegate 127 are all closed following police intelligence.

It is believed two groups had booked a venue, however the police requested they closed not allowing the pre-planned event to take place.

It is now believed that the two large groups are looking for another venue promting other local pubs to shut for the night.
