Police believe missing Scott Fletcher was murdered

Three men aged 36, 38 and 48 from County Durham have been arrested this morning, Tuesday 8th December, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder in connection with the disappearance of Scott Fletcher.

They remain in police custody.Detective Superintendent Jon Green said: “As a result of the ongoing investigation, the disappearance of Scott Fletcher is now being treated as a murder inquiry; however, a body has not yet been located.

“Scott was reportedly last seen on May 11th 2011 at around 8.20pm near to the Jet garage on the A181 at Wheatley Hill in Durham.

“Anyone with information regarding Scott’s disappearance or anyone who may have seen him is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.”
