Police are appealing to trace the driver of a bright orange coloured car, which is believed to have been on the A19 Tees Flyover at the time of an incident in which a white Ford Transit Van rolled over.
The incident occurred on Sunday 6th December at around 12:35pm, causing significant disruption to the traffic flow on the southbound carriageway.
Officers would like to speak to the driver of the orange car, as it is believed that they may be able to assist with enquiries.
The 41-year-old male driver of the van was treated by paramedics at the scene. He suffered minor injuries.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact PC Ian Stapley from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 216369
