Flooding in York has knocked out phone lines across the city including the police 101 non-emergency lines.
The emergency 999 number is still working however you must only dial this in an emergency situatuon.
North Yorkshire Police have reacted quickly and set up a temporary non emergency number 01609 768 182.
York City Council has also experienced problems with phone lines and have set up an temporary number and email address – 07500 100 398 and [email protected]
The city has also lost an internet connection.
York Hospital has also lost it’s phone lines due to the flooding.
