POLICE are appealing for the public’s help after a man was found unconscious in Bretton on Christmas Day (December 25).
The 43-year-old man from Peterborough, was found at 10am by a member of the public on the path in Ringwood.
He had a serious head injury and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital but later transferred to Addnebrooke’s Hospital where he currently remains in a critical.
The man was last seen leaving the Cooper’s Public House to head for home at around 2am.
Detective Sergeant Adam Fraser said: “At this stage we are not treating this incident as a crime but would like to determine the circumstances which led to this man receiving the head injury.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was travelling home during the early hours of Christmas Day and may have seen this man in the Bretton area.
“Any information, no matter how small, could prove invaluable in understanding what happened.”
