Police Officers have responded to an armed incident after a stabbing at a London tube station.
One commuter has been left seriously hurt.
The armed man shouted “this was for Syria”.

One commuter had their throat slashed while others feared being attacked.

Met Police confirmed the man was in police custody following the attack at Leytonstone Tube Station.

Police confirmed the incident saying “We were called to Leytonstone London Underground station on Saturday 5 December following reports of a stabbing at 7.06pm.
“Officers from BTP and Metropolitan Police attended the station and a man was arrested at the scene and is currently in police custody.
“Medics from London Ambulance Service also attended and a man has been taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment.”
