A Police Constable answering a blue light emergency call has made an elderly couple a cup of tea.

The Police Officer from Greater Manchester responded to the 999 call fearing the worst after Fred and Doris aged 95 called police.

When he arrived he quickly established they just needed someone to talk to as they felt lonely.

Fred who is blind and Doris who was struggling to look after him phoned 999 as she struggled to cope.

Great work PC Stu Ockwell.
