Merseyside Police says 18-year-old Clayton Ronald Williams from Wallasey has been charged with the murder of PC Dave Phillips.

PC Dave Phillips tragicallh died after he was hit by a pick-up truck in Wallasey, Merseyside on Monday.

Williams of wheatland Lane, Wallasey has been charged with the murder of PC Phillips and attemptinf to wound a further Constable.

He is further charged with burglary and aggravated unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle.

Phillip Stuart aged 30 of Mayfair Court, Oxton has been charged with burglary and the theft of a car.

both have been remanded in custody and will appear at Wirral Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
