Murdered Cop Theresa May my thoughts are with the family and friends

Police have today launched a murder investigation after an on duty police officer was killed in a hit and run.
Police have confirmed it was involved in a vehicle pursuit in Wallasey, Merseyside Police said.
Officers had responded to reports of a burglary at an estate agents in the early hours of this morning.
during the burglary a red Mitsubishi pick-up truck which police located and gave chase.
Officer’s on scene carried out CPR at the scene. The officer sadly died at hospital.
The stolen car was later found abandoned in Corbyn Street, Wallasey.

Home Secretary Theresa May said in a statement: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the officer who has sadly died and with his many colleagues in Merseyside Police and the wider policing community.”The police strive to keep us and our families safe, taking risks so we can live peacefully.

“When a police officer falls in the line of duty, their death is a reminder of the very real dangers they face day in, day out, as they put themselves in harm’s way to deal with violent criminals and dangerous situations.”
