Stretford Shooting Man Serious Condition in hospital

Detectives have launched an investigation after a man was shot in Stretford. 

Shortly after 2am on Sunday 16 August 2015, police were called to Mossvale Road, Stretford to reports that a man had been shot.
Officers attended and found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious but not life threatening.
The investigation is at an early stage and enquiries are on-going.
Detective Sergeant Andy Darntonof GMP’s Trafford Division said: “I understand incidents like this cancause a lot of concern in the community but I want to assure everybody that a thorough investigation has now been launched.

“In the meantime we have increased patrols in the area and if anybody has any concerns or information then I would urge them to please speak to one of our officers on patrolor contact police.”
