A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 35-year-old man in Haringey.
Police were called shortly before 02:10hrs on Monday, 31 August by London Ambulance Service (LAS) to a report of an fight in progress and a male stabbed at a residential address in Shrewsbury Road, Bounds Green, N11.
Officers and LAS attended and began administering first aid to the male victim aged 35. He was later was pronounced dead whilst on route to hospital.
Police are in the process of contacting next-of-kin. Formal identification awaits.
A post-mortem examination will be held at Haringey Mortuary today, Monday, 31 August.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command are now leading this investigation under Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Piscopo.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been taken to a north London police station for questioning.
The deceased and the man arrested were known to each other.
