Police are appealing for information after a man was pulled from the water on Seaburn Beach.
At around 2.25pm on Wednesday, August 19, officers where made aware from the ambulance service that a man had been recovered from the sea. Paramedics worked on the man at the scene but he was pronounced dead.
Officers are trying to establish how the man came to be in the water and would appeal for anyone who may have been in the area around this time to contact police.
Officers are in the area to carry out enquiries.
