On Sunday, 30 August at 21:35hrs police were called to a report of a man in attendance at an address in Barnet making threats to kill and in possession of what was believed to be a firearm.
The man left the address before officers arrived.

Armed officers later attended an address at Picardy House, Cedar Road, Enfield.

Shortly before 23:50hrs a white man was shot by police at the address.

The man, believed to be aged 43, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Formal identification awaits. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

A non-police firearm has been recovered from the scene.

There have been no further arrests and no further injuries.
