Detectives investigating the disappearance of missing Madeleine McCann have contacted Police in Austriala after a young girls remains have been found in a suitcase.
Officers in Austriala found a decomposed body of a fair haired girl, it is believed she is aged between two and four.
The suitcase was found near a remote motorway in Wynarka near Adelaide in South Australia at the start of this month.
Officers believe the child was killed in 2007, a distinctive blanket was also discovered.
Madeleine went missing on a family holiday in Portugal’s Algarve on May 3 2007.
The Met Police have confirmed the news “We are aware of reports of the remains of a child having been found in South Australia and we have made contact with the Australian authorities.”
