Durham Constabulary has confirmed they are no longer investigating criminal offences involving cannabis growers and users unless their actions are ‘blatant’.
Rogg Hogg confirmed the news to pro-cannabis activists, he stating that Durham Constabulary will only investigate criminal offences involving cannabis only if the users use is ‘blantant’.
They will now only focus efforts on
large-scale cannabis farms and other serious issues relating to the drug but it will offer anybody caught possessing or growing small amounts of the drug the opportunity to avoid criminal prosecution altogether.
They will allow instead for drug users and growers to engage with a Checkpoint programme which is an education programme relating to drugs.
