Police are appealing for information
after a collision between a car and a child in North Tyneside.
At around 4.40pm this afternoon (July3) a four-year-old boy was hit by a car on Rocket Way in Forest Hall. He Was taken to hospital by paramedics with non-life threatening injuries where he remains to undergo treatment.

After the collision happened the man driving the car, that is thought to be a small dark coloured model, got out of the car to check on the child but left before police arrived on the scene.

Officers are now appealing for the man, or anyone who might know his identity, to get in touch on 101 extension 69691 quoting reference number 856 03/07/15 or independent charity Crimestopperson 0800 555 111.
