Boy, 11, suffers fractured arm following fail to stop collision in BlackpoolWe are appealing for help to trace a motorcyclist after an 11 year old boy was injured following a fail to stop collision in Blackpool.
The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Sunday 19 July at the St Annes Road, Watson Road and Marton Drive interchange under the Yeadon Way flyover.
The boy was crossing St Annes Road when he was hit by a black motorbike that was travelling from the direction of Marton Drive.
He sustained a fractured arm, cuts to his face and bruising to his leg which will require further medical treatment.
The motorcyclist, who failed to stop at the scene, is believed to be male and was described by witnesses as wearing a black leather jacket and black helmet. He is thought to have continued along St Annes Road towards the airport.
PC 1844 Gail Walters of Blackpool Police said: “This incident has left a young boy with some nasty injuries and I would appeal to anyone who may know who the motorcyclist is, or indeed the motorcyclist himself, to come forward and contact us.”
