Police are appealing for information after an incident in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, Hartlepool, which left a seven-week-old baby boy needing hospital treatment.The incident happened at around 4pm on Monday 20th July as the baby was being pushed in his pram through the shopping centre.
A large cup containing cola and ice cubes landed in the pram, hitting the baby. Officers are looking into the circumstances of what happened.
His parents took him to the University Hospital of North Tees where he was detained overnight for observation and fortunately did not receive any long-lasting injury. The baby has since been released from hospital.
