Teenager stabbed to death in Islington

Detectives are investigating the death of a teenager in Islington.

Shortly after 18:00hrs on Wednesday, 10 June, police were called to a male stabbed in the area of Caldy Walk, N1.
Officers, London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene.

The 17-year-old youth was taken by LAS to an east London hospital where he died a short time later.

Officers believe they know the identity of the deceased but await formal identification and confirmation that next of kin have been informed.

Officers from Islington remain at the scene. The death will be investigated by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command.

At this early stage, officers retain an open mind as to any motive. There has been no arrest.
