Police are currently dealing with an incident outside Tup Tup Palace in Saint Nicholas Street in Newcastle City Centre. 

Police were called at 10.30pm after a man was injured by a passing motorbike. It’s though an object was thrown from the motorbike thathit the  man. He has been taken to hospital for treatment, the extent of his injuries are not known. It’s thought the man’s injuries were caused bya weapon although this has not been confirmed. 
A cordon is in place and Saint Nicholas Street is closed to allow the incident to be dealt with.

Extra officers are in the area to offer reassurance and keep disruption to a minimum.
